Day 76: Hammerhead

Hammerhead sharks are easily recognizable by their oddly shaped heads. Due to their wide-set eyes they have excellent visual range, so they can see what's going on in various directions. Their sensory organs are also spread over their wide head so they can scan the ocean more thoroughly. They have increased ampullae sensitivity that will help them detect electrical fields created by prey animals. This helps them find animals like stingrays, who bury themselves in the sand.
