Day 2: Electric Eels
Electric eels are not eels, but rather a type of knifefish that use electrical shocks from its abdominal organs to stun prey or defend itself. It has been recorded to produce shocks up to 600 volts, but they typically produce a smaller output to stun their prey, like small fish. They can bee found in fresh water along the Amazon and Orinoco river basins in South America.
